What is DNS propagation?
The internet service providers (ISP) and some web hosting companies keep a DNS cache system to avoid recurring queries to the name of the same site and thus reduce network traffic, making faster access.
Thus, when a page is accessed the services using this system, a DNS query is made on the internet and this is cached for a certain time for future similar requests.
For this reason, when we change the DNS's that account for the domain, these services are still referring to the old DNS cached and accessing the old address.
When this cache is renewed, the system queries the DNS on the Internet again, finding new address.
Therefore, we recommend that you change the DNS for your domain in periods of poor access, such as weekends; and if provider migration, cancel your old service only after the propagation period.
